Dessert Table

I’ve been going back & forth between wanting a traditional wedding cake or the more trendy cupcake option for the last week or so. I know, I know, it’s still to early to make any final decisions, but if I wanted to do cupcakes I wanted to do a full on dessert table since we’re already getting a variety of delicious tarts from our caterer. If I’m doing a full on dessert table I want to be prepared to make it look awesome, which means I need to stock up on some items over the next year. Continue reading

Color Palette

When I first started planning, I knew that I wanted navy & pink to be my primary wedding colors. As time goes on, I’ve realized that I’ve been leaning towards a color palette rather than just a color duo. My plans altered from navy & pink to navy, bright pink, light pink, & ivory… & now they’ve become navy, light pink, bright pink, ivory, lavender, dusty aqua, & powder blue. Oh, & silver as our metal of choice.

They’ve arrived!

My cousin rocks & got us our engagement pictures today. Here are a few of my favorites… Forgive my extra chins, clearly I need to get back to the gym ASAP, but I love that they’re out in the snow, perfect for my Save-the-Date plan! Speaking of which, I received our Save-the-Dates in the mail today & they look awesome! They’ll look even better with a sticker with our faces on the back smiling out at our family & friends!

Snow Saves the Day

Ohio’s unpredictable weather actually helped Jason & I out for once yesterday… no, we didn’t get the snow day that I was hoping for, but my cousin did contact me about getting our engagement pictures taken because she knew that I wanted snow pictures, since I’m sending our Save-the-Dates out around Christmas.

The Glass Barn

Approximately 100 years ago, I began working on my Mason jar centerpieces. Well, I glued lace to every Mason jar I owned at the time, put those away in our basement, & haven’t thought much of it sense. The problem with this is I only did 13 large Mason jars & only 7 small Mason jars… I need one for each table & I’m estimating we will have 20 tables total. I keep meaning to buy more Mason jars, but I didn’t actually make a list of exactly how many more I needed of each type until last week. Yesterday, I decided that Jason & I were finally going to hit up The Glass Barn in Cincinnati’s Wedding District.
